Kei Shikina (識名 京 Shikina Kei)  is the supervisor of the Nayuta Lab. She is the person in charge of Ataraxia’s technology and is also Hida Reiri’s best friend.

Appearance

Shikina is a short, petite woman with blonde hair (more orangish in anime) and blue eyes. She is usually seen wearing her glasses and her uniform. Compared to Reiri, she has a more childish build that makes her look younger.

Personality

Kei is calm, studious, hardworking, and intelligent. Thanks to that, she is the chief of Nayuta lab. Due to being very shy or just from her hobby, she prefers not to speak and uses keyboard which using to communication with others except Reiri. She later becomes jealous that Reiri spends so much time with Kizuna, rather than with her.

While rarely seen, Kei has a surprisingly perverted side to herself. She has expressed an interest in observing Kizuna doing Heart Hybrid with other women multiple times and sometimes recorded them.

While very quiet and shy, Kei is ready to help out like everyone else

Despite being considered a genius by many people on Ataraxia, Kei has downplayed her intelligence when compared to that of Hida Nayuta. This caused her to develop an inferiority complex, feeling she isn't as amazing as others believe her to be. She even feels guilty when someone (such as Kurumizawa Momo) admires her, thinking she's deceiving them.

Despite being reserved and shy, Kei can be very blunt when giving orders. When Kizuna brought up his hesitation with doing Climax Hybrid with Osiris because she is a married woman with a child, she simply pointed out he had already done too many immoral things to start complaining now. Furthermore, Kei is resolved to do everything she can to help protect Ataraxia and the world, and will try to endure her embarrassment if it can help.

History

Background

Shinka Kei helped run the technological division of Ataraxia as its head. Much of the technological advancement of Atraxia comes from her.

• Genius Intelligence: Kei is a very intelligent and talented scientist. She was made the chief scientist on Ataraxia in recognition her scientific abilities.

Trivia

• Hida Reiri is her best friend. Kei also has strong feelings for her.
• Kei secretly recorded Reiri and Kizuna when they were doing Estacy Hybrid, claiming that it is just for "research".
• Kei helps 2 times during Kizuna´s Heart Hybrid, this by request of Reiri and need more than a wish of herself.

Name Origin

• Shikina means "knowledge" (識) (shiki) and "name, noted, distinguished, reputation" (名) (na).
• Kei means "capital city" (京).
